Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Level 1, Level 2 and a Level 3 Artist?

At BeautyWyld we have 3 levels of artists that have received extensive lash training and certification. We have high quality lash standards that every lash artist must meet in order to see clients.

A Level 3 artist has the most amount of lash experience. Because of their additional years of experience, a Level 3 artist can perform lash extension appointments at a faster speed than the artists at lower levels.

A Level 2 and Level 1 Artist has the same amount of training as a Level 3 but does not have as many years of experience. To deliver the quality standards of BeautyWyld lash extensions, a Level 1 and 2 artist requires more time than a Level 3. This extra time allows a the artists to make sure lashes are full, secure, and looking great.

What are lash extensions?

A classic lash extension is an application of one individual lash to each natural lash. This service is the wow factor you've been wanting! Classic lash extensions give you a longer, darker, fuller lash.

For the lash lovers that want some extra drama and fullness, volume lashing is a technique of applying 3 or more lash extensions to 1 natural lash. The volume lash fans are made by hand and delicately placed on each lash for a multiplied lash look. This detailed procedure creates lightweight, three dimensional fluff.

Each lash look is customized to your face and eye shape, and your level of glam desired.

At BeautyWyld, you can always rely on our quality over quantity way of lashing. We work until your lashes are perfect! With your lash health in mind, we don't over-glue, and we are obsessed with isolation, leaving zero lashes glued together. You'll always leave with the tips and tools you need to keep your lashes looking great, growing healthy and strong.

How long do lash extensions last?

In a perfect world, your lash extensions will last 4 weeks. Many will fall off before the 4-week mark due to oily moisturizers, eye makeup, humidity, sweat, rubbing and picking. Because some of these factors are impossible to avoid, we suggest a lash fill every 2-3 weeks. This keeps your lashes looking full and fabulous all the time.

Lash appointments at BeautyWyld seem to be longer than appointments at another salon. Why is that?

We like to think we have mastered lash extensions at BeautyWyld. We know how to provide quality lashes that do not cause damage, last longer, and look perfectly customized for each person. From our experience, this level of quality requires more time. We would rather take a few minutes longer to apply your lashes and you come back less often than providing fast appointments with more frequent visits required.

How do I take care of my lash extensions?

Cleanse your lashes daily using a lash shampoo. Use a small amount of shampoo and a lot water to create a lather on your eyelid and gently work into the lashes. Rinse and dry.

Brush daily or as often as needed.

Sleep on your back when possible to avoid smashed or snagged lashes.

Don't pick, pull or rub your lashes.

Avoid eye makeup on your lashes. If using eyeliner, we recommend powder liner. Mascara is strongly discouraged but if necessary can be worn on the tips of lashes. Any eye makeup should be fully removed with extension-safe eye makeup remover.

Can I wear makeup with my lash extensions?

Yes, you can wear makeup! But when it comes to makeup less is more with extensions. It's best to avoid getting eye makeup on your lashes. If using eyeliner, we recommend powder liner. Mascara is strongly discouraged but if necessary can be worn on the tips of lashes. Any eye makeup should be fully removed with extension-safe eye makeup remover every night.

Can I use a lash growth serum while wearing lash extensions?

Yes, using a lash serum is a great way to rehab lashes from a bad lash extension job, or just to strengthen your natural lashes. We recommend using the Public Beauty Lash growth serum that's sold in our studio.

Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

With the BeautyWyld quality over quantity approach to lashing, we take every step possible to avoid any damage to your natural lashes. We don't over -glue, and we carefully isolate each lash keeping all lashes safe from being pulled off by its neighbor. We are also mindful of not using lashes that are heavier or longer than your natural lashes can support.

We encourage clients to follow aftercare instructions to prevent damage at home. Dirt, debris, old makeup, and allergens can accumulate on the lash extensions. This means cleaning the lashes is essential to keeping the hair follicles healthy and happy, letting natural lashes grow and flourish.

What should I do if I experience an allergic reaction (aka contact dermatitis) to the lash adhesive?
